In the spring of 2006 I was lucky enough to purchase an AP of Northern River. I had been looking unsuccessfully for several years to find one. It reminds me so very much of a view of the Matawa River. There are two lookouts that allow for outstanding views of this historical river. They can be reached by following the shortest trail of the Etienne trail system located in Samuel Du Champlain prov park on Hwy 17 about 50kms east of North Bay. I could sit for hrs at this magnificent lookout enjoying the scenery and listening to sound of birds and the wind through the red pines.
Thanks to your painting of Northern River, I now can enjoy this everyday. If you ever decided to do another painting of this type, the lookout on the Matawa would be stunning.
